So, interestingly enough, I do not partake in pilates, yoga or... exercise, aside from the occasional lightsaber battle. I actually bought these socks for a costume party (the host wanted shoes off inside, but I was dressed as Velma. The shoes are like one fifth of the costume!) So, to get around this and be cheeky, I bought these to go over my orange kneesocks since they kinda look like Mary Janes. And honestly, it felt like I was only wearing one pair of socks the whole night. Super breathable even over the cheap polyester of my other socks. The grips were also fantastic, no slipping or sliding around at all, and that applies to the fabric as well - once on, they required no adjustment, again even over the polyester. Not to mention cute! I don't think the promotional image shows it very well, but these have a sort of gold thread in them that make them sparkly, which personally I'm in to. I may not be an athlete, but these are definitely nerd approved.
